Governance is the underlying thread that holds the various sectors of a country together. In this view, the TAPI approach is to analyse the entire chain of governance – policy design, policy making, policy implementation and assessment, and budget and finance – and assess the impact of Nigeria’s decision making and implementation processes on its citizens.
The TAPI approach will always highlight the impact of the governance on the citizenry, the cost of decisions made and implemented to the people and to the state, the possible alternatives, as well as the impact and cost of misallocation and misappropriation of resources on the country in terms of the benefits denied the people by reason of such actions.
TAPI will also constantly appraise the policies designed and implemented in Nigeria vis-à-vis what is available in peer nations in order to recommend similar or better policies for implementation in Nigeria.
